From time to time, CARAS engages in special projects.  An example was the creation of a training video for therapists and counselors, presenting case enactments of different issues that commonly arise in clinical work with kink-involved clients.  Another example is conducting a community educational needs assessment.

Currently, CARAS (Dr. Rob Bienvenu, project lead) is facilitating the development of an educational supplement for the Divine Deviance documentary film on Kink History, designed to be used in university sexuality courses. For more information on the Divine Deviance film project, see https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6349008/

Special projects can be initiated by members or by community organizations.  CARAS will provide support for the project, in terms of resources and guidance.  Members and community organizations should contact the Executive Director to discuss the possibility of initiating a special project.
