CARAS Research is a small and mighty organization with the mission to educate and support research addressing kink/Leather/BDSM/fetish communities, sex workers, and consensual non-monogamy communities. Led by an all volunteer group of staff, board members, committee members, intramural researchers and educators, we share a deep commitment to our communities and give our time and energy to support this important organization.
We do amazing things with a very small budget and there are always operational costs that must be covered: website, survey platforms, secure systems for email and data storage, etc. Our modest subscription and educational fees cover a lot, but not every cost of running CARAS.
